Doufu-gan, our beloved foundling peke from Hong Kong (and for whom we originally joined this group), gave birth to four healthy puppies on April 5. 2008. Since then, we are a family of five Pekingese.
All of our dogs love chicken (steamed breast) and bones (bully sticks). We give them Inova (adult) dry food, mixed with a lot of cooked organic oatmeal.
Just Pekingese--and two humans.
Our puppies may need more exposure to and mingling with dogs from other household.
Doufu-gan (her name means "dried tofu" in Chinese) was found in a small village called Chek Nai Ping in Hong Kong, in the spring 2004. She was about six week old then. We brought DFG to New York, where we joined this group, and we moved again to Tokyo in the fall 2007. We bred DFG with an American champion Peke, Tao Regency's Rule The Jungle (called Tatan), who resides in an established Pekingese kennel in Tokyo, and she safely gave birth to four puppies on April 5, 2008. Their names are: Pidan ("duck egg"), Doufu-Hua ("flower tofu"), Mantou ("steamed bun") and Goma ("sesami"), all named after Chinese foodstuff, like their mother. Puppies are 9 months now. We hope to see you again when we are back in New York.
