Introduction
My name is Rebekah and my pekingese Little Bear makes me smile every day. I am studying to be a veterinarian and work full time at Park East Animal Hospital on 64th Street. Little Bear would love some new friends and I would love to meet other Peki
What is your pekingese's favorite food? favorite toy?

Little Bear loves her TD bites which she eats to keep her teeth clean. She also goes nuts ovwe carrots. If she hears a carrot crunching in my teeth she will come running like her tail is on fire. All of her favorite toys have names like "squeaky hippo" and "dirty turtle" and she knows them all by name.

Does your pekingese have any health or behavior that maybe we could help improve?

I need help getting her to sleep late in the morning. As soon as the sun rises she is licking my face, wagging her tail and eagerly waiting for her breakfast and morning walk.

What other pets do you have? How do they get along with your pekingese?

My fiance and I are looking to adopt a kitten in the near future but for now it is just us and Little Bear. She is extremely well socialized, however, and spends a lot of time at Carl Shurz park and also plays with my mom's new Beagle puppy (who drives her crazy!).

Please tell us about your pekingese, name, age, and a cute little story about what they do that makes them so adorable.

Little Bear is one year and 7 months old. We just moved to a new apartment on 91st and 1st that is at least three times the size of our old place. There is a lot of hard wood floor space and a long hallway to the bedroom. Little Bear loves to chase her squeaky hippo and races down the hallway when I throw it. Sometimes she gets a little too excited and slides on the floor into walls and furniture. Oops! We also have a new couch with a nice high back. She loves to perch up there (like a kitty) where she can keep and eye on both my fiance and I while we relax at night. She always thinks she has to supervise us and keep us out of trouble- she is totally in charge.
